At all grade levels, we promote the PYP positive attitudes, especially;
cooperation, commitment, responsibility, enthusiasm, appreciation and
empathy. • Propelling objects - overarm and underarm throwing and catching. • Fitness testing - basic fitness testing and generally encouraging all students to improve their level of fitness and increase stamina. • Minor games - games designed to utilise skills learned in the Propelling Objects unit, including T-ball, cricket and soccer. • Simple games - basic movement skills are practised and refined in a variety of activities, including balancing objects, relay games, shuttle runs and rope activities. • Ball games - basic ball coordination games are played using balls of various sizes. • Athletics - running, throwing and jumping. • Gymnastics - basic tumbling skills. • Swimming - basic water confidence and skills. Further develop basic stroke technique in breaststroke, freestyle and backstroke. |
