Description
The course takes a generic approach to the development of the key skills
of reading, writing, listening and speaking.
Objectives:
To develop the
ability to use English effectively for practical communication in a variety
of situations.
To form a sound
base for the skills required for further study or employment using English
as a medium.
To develop an awareness
of language and learning skills, as indicated in MYP Areas of Interaction
documentation.
Assessment
This course is a credit course and assessed externally by the University
of Cambridge (UK) at the end of grade 10 (for IGCSE certification). Grades
for certain assessment tasks are also externally moderated for IB MYP
certification.
