Description
Starting at level 1, solid fundamentals will be built in the four language skills of writing, reading, listening and speaking. The students will use the text Saludos (first part). As skills develop, emphasis will be placed on the practice of using the language in authentic situations. Carefully guided instruction in a wide range of communicative activities will accustom students to real-life situations.

During this course, students will study aspects of the culture and civilization of Spanish-speaking countries. Another objective of the course will be to establish a sound base of those skills, language and attitudes required for possible further study, work and leisure.

Assessment
This course is a credit course. There is no external assessment.
