Accessing File Server on Windows XP from home or anywhere else

Step One
Click on the Start Menu and find My Network Places as shown below. Double click on My Network Places

Step Two
Double click on Add a network place as shown below

Step Three
Click on the choice shown below then click Next

Step Four
In the box below type https://my.ofs.edu.sg/user/your login name. Then click on Next.

Step Five
The next screen will ask your for your login name and password. Use your school login name and password, not your internet account login name and password. After that a window opens with three folders, My Personal Documents, My Public Documents and My Web Documents. You are now in.

Step Six
The next time you wish to login go to My Network Places and you will see a folder similar to the one shown below. Double click on it, supply your login name and password and you are back in the school system. Enjoy!
