Dear Parents,

Greetings, or Kia Ora as we say in New Zealand!  My name is Nicola Cowan and I am pleased to be the Grade 4 Homebase teacher for the coming school year.  For the past four years I have been teaching in the Overseas Family School Kindergarten.  Prior to coming to Singapore I was an elementary school teacher in New Zealand for 5 years, where I taught various age groups throughout the school.  As well as my teaching qualifications, I also have a Bachelor of Property degree from the University of Auckland and I worked at the Head Office of Air New Zealand for 5 years before becoming a teacher.

In my leisure time I enjoy activities such as yoga, cross-stitch, reading and travel.
I really love working with children in an international school and I find it is a wonderful way to broaden my horizons and learn more about the world.
