Welcome to Grade Five Grimmon

I’m Ray Grimmon (don’t let the first name fool you...I'm a female!) but my students over the years prefer to call me Ms. G.  I joined OFS three years ago. Oh my, how time flies!. This will be my 19th year as an overseas teacher.  I began my teaching career in the inner cities of Chicago and Los Angeles.

A parent of a former student convinced me to try a temporary change of career and, before I knew it, I found myself heading a public relations department for a large international corporation. After raising my two daughters, who are now well established in their own careers, I returned to teaching. As a product, of international schooling (born in Australia to Dutch parents), you could say I had the bug and it bit me hard. It just seemed natural to teach overseas. I can honestly say I know my way quite well in Nakayama, The Hague, Prague, Kuwait, Karachi and, most recently, Singapore.  These postings afforded me the opportunity to meet the most wonderful people and to explore interesting and exotic places. When not enjoying my students on campus you can usually find me exercising at the gym. I enjoy "spinning" and strength classes.   My students will tell you I love teaching and always delight in their progress during their year.

It is going to be a busy and exciting year ahead and I look forward to meeting and working with both you and your child.

Yours sincerely,

Ray Grimmon
