Ni hao! (Hello!) My name is Mei Lirong. I’m from North China in the city of Taiyuan, Shanxi province. I have over 20 years of teaching experience, 15 years in China and 8 years in Singapore.

Before I joined the OFS elementary school, I had taught Chinese at the Singapore Chinese Chamber Institute of Business, the Regional Language Centre (RELC), the International School of Singapore (ISS), and OFS High School.

I am married. I have a girl and a boy. In my life I love two things most: one is teaching, and the other one is kids. I enjoy working with kids and see them grow. In my teaching, I put emphasis on promoting the whole-brain education by using these four methods: 1) Input of large amount of facts, 2) Developing the kids’ image ability, 3) Memory training, and 4) Rhythm and speed. I make efforts to make my teaching interesting and effective so that the kids will become interested in the learning of the language and will be encouraged when they feel their success in the learning. This will also help the students to become self-initiated learners.
