Kindergarten Animal Parade
Over the last seven weeks the K2 children have been engrossed in our IEYC Unit of Learning, "Animal Rescuers". They have been finding out about four different animal habitats: Rainforest; Desert; Grasslands and Polar Regions. They have looked at the similarities and differences between these habitats and have discovered which animals live in each. For the Unit of Learning Exit Point, the children had great fun taking part in an animal parade, wearing costumes created by their parents. The parents then joined the children in the classrooms so that they could share their animal riddles and the dioramas or trioramas they had created of their chosen animal, in its natural habitat. This was a great end to the unit, allowing the children to demonstrate what they have learnt and to have fun at the same time.

The Holiday Concert is an expression of that focus as we celebrate festivals from around the world. It was a wonderful opportunity to share the great cultural diversity within our school as students sung and danced songs in celebration of the various holidays close to this time of the year. The students looked amazing in their costumes and all students should be commended for their efforts and commitment in making each concert memorable.
