Description
The aim of this course is to expose students to most areas of the Humanities
(Geography, History, Sociology, Economics and Politics). This course is
designed to improve students’ general knowledge of world events.
Each semester, the student will be ‘travelling’ around the
world with a specific theme in mind. These themes include:
NATIVES & INVADERS; STUDIES IN CONFLICT; HUMAN RIGHTS; and SINGAPORE
& HER NEIGHBOURS. The course offers the student challenging case studies
that require attention and analysis. While critically analysing the many
issues presented in this course, students will be challenged to improve
their reading, writing and presentation skills.
