Model United Nations in IBO Programmes
Welcome to our School-wide Model United Nations (MUN) initiative.
MUN is a major force for OFS in Elementary, Middle and High Schools.
The skills and habits of:
Collaboration |
Communication |
Open-mindedness |
Risk-taking |
Confidence building |
International-mindedness |
are actively promoted by MUN practices and are dynamically demonstrated by our students.
We have embedded Model United Nations skills and practices into the curriculum of our schools, from
Elementary School through to High School.
We invite you to view the OFS presentation of the integration of Model United Nations into all
International Baccalaureate programmes. This presentation was made at the IBO World Heads
of Schools Conference at Seville in October 2009. Also available are documents relating to
this implementation.
See how grades 4 and 5 (PYP) and grades 6 through 8 (MYP) have enriched their programmes
with MUN skills. See also our MUN courses for grades 9 and 10, and IB SBS World Politics and International Relations for grades 11 and 12.
