Elementary School Musical 2021: Moana Jr.

The ES musical is always a highlight in our annual calendar. This year we are proud to present Moana JR. It is the story of how Maui a shapeshifter and Moana a young girl from the village of Motonui journey together across the ocean to restore the heart of Te Fiti to save the village of Motonui.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions on live events, our musical team had to get creative and innovative from the audition stage right up to the final performance. Following the Safe Management Measures, the students practiced in small groups diligently on Wednesday afternoons and during lunch times. While we could not have a live performance with an audience, there was still much excitement on our recording days. The students looked fantastic in their costumes and there was a buzz around the auditorium as the groups performed and recorded their items separately on stage. We are looking forward to seeing the final movie production! Congratulations to all the Grade 4 and 5 students who were involved.
