The Middle School is a place where we strive to excite and stimulate learning via a well balanced "OFS Student Experience".
Our goal in the Middle School is to provide a challenging and enriching learning environment for all students, treating all as individuals. There are many opportunities to get involved in a range of activities such as drama, music, art, sports and other cultural pursuits. Such involvement really enriches any student's experience.
We offer a well balanced and robust international curriculum, the IB Middle Years Program (MYP). This is a five year program, starting at Middle School and completed in Grades 9 and 10 in the High School, where most students also sit IGCSE external examinations. This flows naturally into the International Baccalaureate Diploma, a highly sought after and very portable internationally recognised qualification.
Our qualified and motivated teaching staff help to deliver this "OFS Student Experience" and hail from a wide range of countries. Health and Social Education, Community and Service Programs and the OFS Model United Nations are all at the core of this experience. These programs are carried out on or off site, making our Middle School Students confident and well rounded young individuals with a common sense of belonging.
OFS is an open entry school, where students and parents select the courses best suited to the child. Academic staff will give guidance and advice where necessary for students and parents to make better informed decisions. Our policy is that parents are the senior partner when these decisions are made. We value highly the relationship we have with all our parents and regular communication between home and the school is essential to ensure a true learning partnership.
Overseas Family School truly is a 'family' school. We are very pleased that you have decided to become part of our family.
