Each year, OFS Middle School comes together to celebrate the arts—music, art, drama, and dance—during our annual MADD Week. This tradition is a wonderful opportunity to honor the creative talents that enrich our school. There is something for everyone and each day is filled with fun lunchtime activities relating to Music, Arts, Drama and Dance.
We are so fortunate to have the opportunity to celebrate the arts at OFS Middle School. May we continue to nurture and grow this vibrant tradition, which enriches not only our students but also our staff and community as a whole.
Each year, Middle Students enjoy grade-wide MUN conferences following Interdisciplinary Units. Grade 6 students focus on the importance of culture and the role UNESCO plays in protecting world heritage. Grade 7 students look at how we can ensure equitable access to finite resources, while Grade 8 focuses on globalisation and sustainability in current linear supply chains.
The MUN conferences towards the end of these units see the students understand different perspectives while working together to find lasting solutions to complex global issues. The Grade 7 and 8 conferences take place in Quarter 3 and the Grade 6 conference takes place in Q4.
In colour-coded teams of red, blue, yellow and green, the children will participate in different sports stations displaying their developing physical motor skills, balance and coordination.
