There will be 3 day/2 night grade level camps for all Middle School students throughout the school year. These prove to be an invaluable experience for building social cohesion, moving beyond one's comfort zone and enjoying the opportunity of outdoor education. Students are encouraged to attend their respective camps.
This event will give our Grade 10 families a chance to learn about the IB Diploma, OFS Diploma and SPP courses. Details have been sent to the Grade 10 families and announcements will be made in the High School Daily Gazette. Information will also be shared on the OFS Parent Dashboard.
The Grade 12 students will be showcasing their final artwork, which will be submitted to the IB for external assessment. The Visual Arts Exhibition will showcase the incredible talent and creativity of our students, featuring a diverse range of artwork from different mediums. It provides an inspiring opportunity for younger students to engage with the work of their senior peers. OFS families are also invited to attend and enjoy the creative talent on display.
The Elementary School will be celebrating Book Week from 17-21 February culminating with a character dress up day on Friday, 21 February. Fun activities are planned throughout the week to celebrate our love of reading and books.
Book Week 2025 will kick off with the theme of time travel. Let creativity take the reins as students explore and visualise new, imagined spaces and time-scapes crafted through the power of words.

The annual Dance Showcase highlights the talent and hard work of our students as they perform pieces they’ve perfected throughout the year. Each performance is a reflection of the dedication and creativity put into their dance classes, showcasing a variety of styles and techniques. From contemporary to hip-hop, the show is a celebration of movement, rhythm, and expression. Join us for an evening of inspiring performances that demonstrate the passion and skill of our talented dancers.
The ES musical is always a highlight in our calendar. Our Grade 4 and 5 students have been working hard over the last few months in preparation for this exciting event. The long awaited ES musical Frozen Jr will be performed live on 5 and 6 March 2025.

Face-to-face conferences will be conducted on campus. Students are more than welcome to attend with their parents/guardians.
This special conference is a time for teachers, parents and students to come together to celebrate each child's accomplishments, reflect on areas in need of strengthening and work together to identify goals that the student is to work towards. The structure of the PSTC is student-led. Each family will be scheduled a 30 minute session in the Homebase classrooms.
The exhibition will showcase the children's favourite art pieces created during the course of the academic year. You will see samples of sculptures, box construction, printing, painting collage work and many more.
Each year, OFS Middle School comes together to celebrate the arts—music, art, drama, and dance—during our annual MADD Week. This tradition is a wonderful opportunity to honor the creative talents that enrich our school. There is something for everyone and each day is filled with fun lunchtime activities relating to Music, Arts, Drama and Dance.
We are so fortunate to have the opportunity to celebrate the arts at OFS Middle School. May we continue to nurture and grow this vibrant tradition, which enriches not only our students but also our staff and community as a whole.
Each year, Middle Students enjoy grade-wide MUN conferences following Interdisciplinary Units. Grade 6 students focus on the importance of culture and the role UNESCO plays in protecting world heritage. Grade 7 students look at how we can ensure equitable access to finite resources, while Grade 8 focuses on globalisation and sustainability in current linear supply chains.
The MUN conferences towards the end of these units see the students understand different perspectives while working together to find lasting solutions to complex global issues. The Grade 7 and 8 conferences take place in Quarter 3 and the Grade 6 conference takes place in Q4.
In colour-coded teams of red, blue, yellow and green, the children will participate in different sports stations displaying their developing physical motor skills, balance and coordination.
The ES Parent Student Teacher Conferences will give parents and students an opportunity to meet with their child's teachers. It is a chance to visit the classrooms and for students to share their learning, as well as set goals for the remainder of the academic year.
The ES Lunchtime concerts give students an opportunity to showcase their talents. Students are invited to audition to perform at these concerts. Performers may play an instrument, sing or dance. Auditions take place a few weeks before the lunchtime concert.
Grade 9 parents/guardians are invited to an information evening to gain an understanding of the Personal Project and the journey your child/ward will go through (starting March 2025, finishing October, 2025).
Get ready to rock! The 2025 Battle of the Bands will feature the top high school rock bands competing for the title of Best OFS School Rock Band. Leading up to the event, selected bands will practice together, receive mentorship, and fine-tuning their performances for the big day. On the day of the competition, each band will perform three of their best songs in front of a panel of judges and a live audience. Event details will be shared on the High School Gazette and the OFS student learning portal.
The Grade 5 Expo is a culmination of our International Primary Curriculum Learning Journey. The Grade 5's work hard on preparations for their Expo, for the Unit - The Holiday Show
The children will learn about the traditions and customs of the festival of Eid al-Fitr (Festival of Breaking the Fast), also known locally as Hari Raya Aidilfitri or Hari Raya Puasa, which marks the end of Ramadan and is an occasion celebrated by Muslims worldwide. We encourage the children to come to school dressed for the occasion.
Unplugged is a unique event that gives students the opportunity to showcase their musical talents in a relaxed, acoustic setting. Performers take the stage to deliver unplugged performances, creating a calming atmosphere for both musicians and the audience. It’s a celebration of creativity, where students can express themselves through music while the audience relaxes and enjoys the soothing vibes. Whether it's singing, playing guitar, or showcasing other acoustic skills, Unplugged is a chance to appreciate the art of live performances.
In music lessons, the children have been exploring sounds and music through action songs, dance, and playing instruments. They have been learning about the different elements of music such dynamics, duration, pitch and tempo. The Kindergarten Concert will showcase what the children have learned in Music lessons throughout this academic year.

The MS will be performing the well known musical "Annie Jr". Auditions and Rehearsals will get underway in early September and students will be rehearsing all throughout Semester 1 and 2. We are really looking forward to opening night!

Not only do these examinations give teachers an indication of student progress, but it also provides our students with an authentic experience of the stringent examination conditions for external examinations such as the IGCSE and IB Diploma.

This prestigious event is always a highlight of the High School calendar. This is where students, families, teachers and staff get to celebrate our Grade 12s completion of high school studies and begin their transition to higher education and/or national service.

The Kindergarten Graduation marks the completion of the student's years in Kindergarten. The celebration includes a presentation of certificates, a concert performed by the graduating K2 class which is then followed by class parties in the children's classrooms.
The Elementary School Graduation is our culminating event for our Grade 5 students as they complete their education at our Elementary School and prepare to join the Middle School in the next academic year.
