Grade 7 students will explore the Urban Gardens and the Art Science Museum as part of their MUN IDU unit, exploring equitable access to finite resources and imagining a hopeful future.
Middle School is an exciting celebration of linguistic diversity. Throughout the week, students will participate in engaging activities to learn about and gain an appreciation of the diverse cultures and languages at OFS.
Middle School is excited to offer a fantastic range of fun and creative clubs for students this Semester! Running at lunchtime and after school, these clubs provide a wonderful opportunity for students to discover new interests, build friendships and enjoy learning beyond the classroom.
Parents can register online from 9.00am on 9 January until 12.00pm on 14 January. We encourage students to sign up early and make the most of everything our clubs have to offer!
We invite all grade 8 students' parents to our Curriculum evening, this will include mini presentations, followed by a question and answer session on the curriculum, specific syllabi, major assignments and examinations, with Subject Area Leaders and Teachers and respective curriculum coordinators.
There will be 3 day/2 night grade level camps for all Middle School students throughout the school year. These prove to be an invaluable experience for building social cohesion, moving beyond one's comfort zone and enjoying the opportunity of outdoor education. Students are encouraged to attend their respective camps.

The Elementary School will be celebrating Book Week from 2-6 February culminating with a character dress up day on 6 February. Fun activities are planned throughout the week to celebrate our love of reading and books.
OFS Middle School Book Week will take place from February 2nd to 6th 2026! The theme this year is "Around the World In 80 Books". Over the course of the week, students will have a chance to explore different books and their settings, participate in different activities to celebrate books and reading, and walk the "Read" carpet in the Atrium in their best book character costume on Friday at lunchtime.
Grade 5 parents and students are invited to find out more about the exciting opportunities Middle school has to offer, as well as the curriculum and MYP Framework in preparation for their transition to Middle School.
Kindergarten invites all parents to our Book Week Character Parade. Exciting activities such as guest readers, dramatic interpretations of favourite books and sharing favourite books with friends make this an enjoyable and memorable week for the children. MY-MUNOFS XVII brings together 24 schools from around the globe. With 13 committees and over 365 delegates, this event offers a unique platform for middle school students to engage in diplomacy and debate. The conference will be expertly organised and managed by our Executive Committee from HS, showcasing their leadership and commitment to solving contemporary global issues.
Each year, OFS Middle School comes together to celebrate the Arts- Music, Art, Drama, and Dance, during our annual MADD Week. This tradition is a wonderful opportunity to honor the creative talents that enrich our school. There is something for everyone and each day is filled with fun lunchtime activities relating to Music, Arts, Drama and Dance.
Throughout the week, students can enjoy a variety of lunchtime activities and performances, each highlighting a different art form. A special highlight of the week is MADD Night, our evening concert on Thursday, February 12 at 6:30pm in the auditorium. This event is open to all and will feature an exciting array of student performers across music, art, drama, and dance. It's a true celebration of the arts.

The ES Lunchtime concerts give students an opportunity to showcase their talents. Students are invited to audition to perform at these concerts. Performers may play an instrument, sing or dance. Auditions take place a few weeks before the concert.

There are students from over 70 countries at Overseas Family School, bringing a wide range of languages into our school community. Mother Language Day is an annual event held in the Atrium, celebrating the linguistic diversity represented across the school. The event highlights the importance of maintaining and valuing students’ mother tongues.
Students and staff are encouraged to share and use their own languages through simple greetings and interactions, promoting cultural awareness and mutual respect. Mother Language Day provides an opportunity to recognise language as a key part of identity and communication within an international school environment.
OFS invites all parents to usher in the Chinese New Year, where they will enjoy the deafening noise of the drums as they watch the traditional Lion Dance.
The ES musical is always a highlight in our calendar. Our Grade 4 and 5 students have been working hard over the last few months in preparation for this exciting event. The long awaited ES musical Moana Jr will be performed live on 4 and 5 March 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for Grade 8 parents to gain a deeper understanding of our High School Mathematics curriculum and pathways, as well as university course requirements in relation to Mathematics.

Parents are scheduled for an appointment to meet with their child's teachers to discuss their child's learning and progress, and to set goals for the remainder of the academic year.
The exhibition will showcase the children's favourite art pieces created during the course of the academic year. You will see samples of sculptures, box construction, printing, painting collage work and many more.
In colour-coded teams of red, blue, yellow and green, the children will participate in different sports stations displaying their developing physical motor skills, balance and coordination.
The ES Parent Student Teacher Conferences will give parents and students an opportunity to meet with their child's teachers. It is a chance to visit the classrooms and for students to share their learning, as well as set goals for the remainder of the academic year.
Get ready to have some fun outside with the Middle School Sports Day.
The children will learn about the traditions and customs of the festival of Eid al-Fitr (Festival of Breaking the Fast), also known locally as Hari Raya Aidilfitri or Hari Raya Puasa, which marks the end of Ramadan and is an occasion celebrated by Muslims worldwide. We encourage the children to come to school dressed for the occasion.

As part of the Model United Nations Interdisciplinary unit, students will visit various locations in Chinatown to explore the importance of culture and the role UNESCO plays in protecting world heritage. This includes the Buddha Tooth Relic, the Urban Redevelopment Authority and Hawker Centers, which have been recognised by UNESCO as sites of intangible cultural heritage.
Join us for our Middle School Theatre Production of 'The Wind in the Willows', Kenneth Grahame's beloved classic brought to life on stage. Follow the charming escapades of Mole, Rat, Badger, and the ever-unpredictable Mr Toad as they journey along the riverbank, face daring challenges, and discover the true meaning of home and friendship.

In music lessons, the children have been exploring sounds and music through action songs, dance, and playing instruments. They have been learning about the different elements of music such dynamics, duration, pitch and tempo. The Kindergarten Concert will showcase what the children have learned in Music lessons throughout this academic year.
Join us for this exciting soiree where our talented students take to the stage to perform a variety of musical items. Our ensemble group, choir and soloists will be performing.
The Art Exhibition will showcase our talented artists. The selected art pieces, connected to students IPC Units of Work, reflect a variety of art skills and use of media. You will see samples of the beautiful art work using different mediums that our students have been creating over the course of Quarter 3.
Our Global Concerts will showcase music and dancing from around the world.
Middle School Examinations are just one part of the ongoing IB MYP assessments. It also gives our students ‘real life’ practice and experience with stringent examination conditions expected at High School, especially for external examinations.
As we prepare to say a sad farewell to our Grade 8 students, this is a fantastic opportunity for them to celebrate their many achievements and hard work during their Middle School years. It’s a memorable rite of passage as students look towards the next stage of their school career!
The Kindergarten Graduation marks the completion of the student's years in Kindergarten. The celebration includes a presentation of certificates, a concert performed by the graduating K2 class which is then followed by class parties in the children's classrooms.
This is an excellent opportunity to celebrate and recognise the exceptional hard work and talents of our SPP students. The ceremony will include musical performances, readings and the presentation of certificates to those students who have reached the next level of the SPP program.
The Elementary School Graduation is our culminating event for our Grade 5 students as they complete their education at our Elementary School and prepare to join the Middle School in the next academic year.
We are delighted to invite our MS community to our End of Semester Assembly, a celebration of student achievement, creativity, and growth. This special event will showcase a range of student talents, highlighting the skills, confidence, and passion our students have developed throughout the Semester.

A group of our students will be heading to Tanglin Trust School this December to take part in TMUN 2025! Known for its dynamic debates, student-led organisation, and focus on real-world global issues, Tanglin MUN is a highlight for our participating students. It's a fantastic opportunity for our students to connect with peers from around the region, build their confidence, and sharpen their skills in diplomacy, research, and public speaking.
Each year, Middle Students enjoy grade-wide MUN conferences following Interdisciplinary Units. Grade 6 students focus on the importance of culture and the role UNESCO plays in protecting world heritage. Grade 7 students look at how we can ensure equitable access to finite resources, while Grade 8 focuses on globalisation and sustainability in current linear supply chains.
The MUN conferences towards the end of these units see the students understand different perspectives while working together to find lasting solutions to complex global issues. The Grade 7 and 8 conferences take place in Quarter 3 and the Grade 6 conference takes place in Q4.
