We warmly invite you to attend our Middle School Curriculum Night, where we will share an overview of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (IB MYP), the curriculum framework upon which our Middle School teaching and learning is developed. The evening will also provide information on how you can provide effective assistance to your child/ward at home, in partnership with the school.
Our Grade 8 Language and Literature students will take to the stage as part of their persuasive speech competition in September. They’ll be choosing topics they care about, crafting convincing arguments, and learning how to engage an audience with confidence and clarity. The competition will be a chance for students to showcase their communication skills, creativity, and critical thinking.
Our curriculum talk for our Grade 1, 2 and 3 parents will provide an overview of our different curriculum areas and help parents better understand the International Primary Curriculum (IPC).
There will be a grade level camp for all students in Middle School throughout the school year. These prove to be an invaluable experience for building social cohesion, moving beyond one’s comfort zone and enjoying the opportunity of outdoor education. Students are encouraged to attend their respective camps.

The aim of this workshop is to provide an opportunity for parents/guardians to work through the OFS website and to find out how students are assessed in the IB Diploma Years Program, throughout Grades 11 and 12. This will conclude with a question and answer session.
The ES Lunchtime concerts give students an opportunity to showcase their talents. Students are invited to audition to perform at these concerts. Performers may play an instrument, sing or dance. Auditions take place a few weeks before the lunchtime concert.
The fair provides a unique platform for students and parents to engage with university representatives, attend informative sessions, and explore a diverse range of academic pathways.
ES Internationalism Celebrations are a time for us to celebrate what it means to be part of an international community at OFS. Throughout the week, exciting activities will take place across the Elementary School, giving students the chance to learn about and appreciate the many cultures and traditions that make our school so unique.
This semester, our MUN students will have the exciting opportunity to participate in three conferences.
Each conference will provide students with the opportunity to debate significant global issues, collaborate with delegates from other schools, and experience student-led diplomacy in action. These events will help our students build their confidence and strengthen their skills in research, negotiation, critical thinking, and public speaking.
The 'Internationalism Celebration: Middle School Global Concert' celebrates the diverse experiences of our students, and an opportunity for them to develop a deeper understanding of the different nationalities and cultures in the OFS community. The concert will include a range of group performances from around the world.
At OFS, we strive to understand and celebrate the differences within our community, while recognising and valuing the things we have in common.
Parents are scheduled for an appointment to meet with their child's teachers to discuss their child's learning and progress, and to set goals for the remainder of the academic year.
Join us for the MYP Personal Project Exhibition showcasing our Grade 10 students' achievements in the Personal Project. This event highlights their creativity and growth throughout the IB Middle Years Program. Grade 9 parents are also invited to explore what lies ahead for their children.

It's a time to visit classrooms, celebrate student learning, and reflect on progress. Together, students, parents, and teachers will also set goals for the remainder of the academic year.
TedX Youth events provide a vibrant stage for young speakers to present their creative ideas, personal experiences, and bold visions for the future. Parents and guardians are invited to join us in the Blackbox to show their support.
The aim of this workshop is to provide an opportunity for parents/guardians to gain an understanding of how the MYP framework is adopted and assessed from Grades 6-9. This will conclude with a question and answer session.
Languages Week is a vibrant celebration of the diverse Foreign and Mother Tongue languages spoken and learned at OFS. Throughout the week, students will enjoy a variety of fun and engaging activities that explore the richness of language and culture.

Face-to-face conferences will be conducted on campus. Students are more than welcome to attend with their parents/guardians.
Kindergarten invites all parents to our Internationalism Celebration, a joyous event where we honor the rich intercultural diversity of our Kindergarten community. Students and parents are encouraged to come dressed in their national costumes or wear clothing that represents the colors of their countries or flags.
The celebration will begin with a concert performed by our Kindergarten children, featuring a flag processional followed by a presentation of songs and dances from around the world. The event will conclude with a potluck lunch in the classrooms, organized by the parents.
The Deepavali (or "Diwali") celebration offers a rich and enjoyable learning experience for the children. They will have the opportunity to explore Indian culture and learn about the significance of this "Festival of Lights" through hands-on activities. Children are invited to come to school dressed in Indian attire.
Taking place on Thursday 12th November, 2026, our Deepavali Celebrations bring the Middle School community together to honour the Festival of Lights. Through a range of interactive activities and cultural experiences, students deepen their understanding of Deepavali while celebrating the diversity, traditions and vibrant spirit of our international school community.
The Art Exhibition is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their creativity and originality. The selected pieces, inspired by their IPC Units of Work, highlight a range of artistic skills and creative use of different media.
Respecting, understanding, and appreciating different cultures and beliefs is an important part of our curriculum. The Holiday Concert reflects this focus, as we celebrate a variety of festivals, holidays and traditions from around the world.
Middle School Examinations are just one part of the ongoing IB MYP assessments. It also gives our students 'real life' practice and experience with stringent examination conditions expected at High School, especially for external examinations.
We would like to invite you to participate in a school-wide food collection in support of the local food banks managed by 'Food from the Heart', a local non-profit organisation committed to alleviating hunger through food distribution in Singapore. We will be holding a school-wide food collection for around two weeks in November 2025 in each school from Kindergarten to High School, as well as in the Administration building. Food can be brought in from Friday, 20 November 2026 through to Friday, 4 December 2026.
Examinations are 1.5 hours for our mainstream students, 2 hours for Grade 11 Higher Level Students.
Our semester one high school examinations are an important process for assessing the content and skills acquired by our students. Students arriving late must report to the high school office, all students are required to bring their student ID.
CAT4 testing will take place on 4 December for all Grade 10 students.
Our assembly programme brings the Middle School community together through regular Homebase and Whole School Assemblies throughout the year. Homebase Assemblies provide opportunities for connection, reflection and important updates, while Whole School Assemblies celebrate student success, recognise ATL Award recipients, and showcase the incredible talents within our community.
Guided by our annual theme, ‘Belonging begins with us’ each assembly helps foster a culture where every student feels connected, valued and inspired to contribute positively to Middle School life.
The Grade 5 students are looking forward to their MUN experience and General Assembly. They will take on the role of delegates representing countries from around the world. Their discussions will focus on key issues related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, promoting global awareness and collaborative problem-solving.
Taking place on Friday 4th December 2026, our Holiday Concert brings the Middle School community together in celebration through music, showcasing the incredible talent, creativity and hard work of our student performers. Featuring a vibrant selection of festive songs, the concert is a joyful way to celebrate the season and share the spirit of the holidays with family, friends and the wider school community.
The SPP Awards Ceremony will be held, Wednesday, 9 December 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to celebrate the hard work and success of our SPP students over the semester.

Kindergarten invites all parents to join us in celebrating the end of the first semester and the upcoming holidays. The children will entertain you with a medley of Christmas songs. On this day, children are welcome to attend school in party clothes.
The 'Middle School Talent Show' showcases the diverse and impressive talents of our Middle School students. Previous acts have included music and dance performances, poetry reading, mime artists and magicians, to name a few. Students will audition throughout the week, with the selected finalists performing in the live Talent Show on Friday, 11 December 2026.
